Bibiani Gold Stars’ target was to finish in top 6– Coach Frimpong Manso after winning GPL

Head coach of Bibiani Gold Stars, Frimpong Manso has revealed that the club exceeded their target for the just ended 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Bibiani Gold Stars were on Sunday, June 8, crowned winners of the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season after beating Accra Lions 4-0.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM on Monday, June 9, 2025, Frimpong Manso said they are overly happy with their achievement in the just ended season because their target before the start of the campaign was to finish in top 6.

“At the start of the season, our goal was to finish in the top six but halfway through, we saw a real chance to win the Ghana Premier League. So we pushed a little harder and we have made history.”

“At one point in the season, management made a strategic decision to relocate the team’s camp to avoid distractions and negative energy and it proved to be the right move,” Frimpong Manso said.

Bibiani Gold Stars won the Ghana Premier League for the first time in history with 63 points after winning 18 games, drawing 9 and losing 7 in 34 games.

Nations FC, Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko picked up the remaining top four positions with 60, 60 and 58 points respectively.
