Asante Kotoko striker, Kwame Poku ‘Bayie’ has said that they cannot end the 2024/2025 Ghana football season without winning a trophy.
According to Kwame Poku, it is beneath them to end a season without silverware hence the need for him and his teammates to fight tooth and nail to win a trophy at the end of season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently in the finals of the FA Cup and are not out of the race for the Ghana Premier League title and Poku is of the firm belief that they will win one of the available trophies.
“For the FA Cup, we can’t go trophyless this season, no, it’s not happening,” he said.
“We are hoping that by the end of the season, we’ll lift a trophy. If not the league, then we must win the FA Cup for Asanteman.”
Kotoko will look to secure their 10th MTN FA Cup title when they take on Golden Kick in the finals on June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
