Allow Chairman Wontumi to face the law; nobody will kill him – Fred Agbenyo

Member of Parliament for the Guan Constituency in the Oti Region, Fred Agbenyo has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to allow its Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako Popularly known as Chairman Wontumi to face the law.

According to Fred Agbenyo, politicization of crime in Ghana shouldn’t be encourage because the country cannot progress is this behavior is encouraged.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana Show, Agbenyo said nobody is going to kill Chairman Wontumi or infringe on his rights but he should be made to answer for the crimes he has been charged with.

He stated that the prosecution against Wontumi didn’t start today as Samuel Jinapor, the former Minister of Lands under Akufo-Addo accused the aforementioned of mining in the Tano Forest Reserve without any license.

Fred Agbenyo urged the NPP to stop the hypocrisy because they started the case against Wontumi whiles they were in office.
