Agradaa fined GH¢12,000, ordered to pay GH¢50,000 to Pastor in nude picture case

An Accra High Court has delivered its final ruling in the long-standing legal battle between Evangelist Patricia Asiedua (Nana Agradaa) and Pastor Appiah Biblical.

The court fined Nana Agradaa GH¢12,000 and ordered her to pay GH¢50,000 in compensation to Pastor Appiah Biblical.

The ruling was given on December 16, 2025 following a plea bargain agreement accepted by the court.

The charges arose from a 2021 television broadcast in which Nana Agradaa aired non-consensual and inappropriate images of Pastor Appiah Biblical on her station, Thunder TV, now known as Today TV.

The dispute between Nana Agradaa and Pastor Appiah Biblical dates back to 2021 and was initially triggered by a financial disagreement involving GH¢10,000.

Nana Agradaa claimed the pastor owed her the amount, a claim he has disputed.

During the feud, Nana Agradaa, in retaliation, used her media platforms including Thunder TV (now known as Today TV) and her social media platforms to target Pastor Appiah Biblical.

She broadcasted private and inappropriate images and videos of Pastor Appiah without his consent.

This led the pastor to file a lawsuit against her under the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).

The court found that the act violated provisions of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), which criminalises the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

Nana Agradaa is currently serving a five-year prison sentence with hard labour following her conviction on July 3, 2025, in a separate case.

She was found guilty on two counts of defrauding her congregants after the court determined that she intentionally deceived followers of her Heaven Way Champion International Ministry by promising to supernaturally double their money during a 2022 televised all-night church service.

She was also convicted for using her media platforms, including Today TV, to broadcast false claims of possessing spiritual powers to multiply wealth, a scheme referred to as ‘Sika Gari.’

Due to her incarceration, Nana Agradaa was transported from Nsawam Prison under heavy security to attend recent court proceedings related to the case involving Pastor Appiah Biblical.
