The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, responded to a question about the status of the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, saying inquiries should be directed to the Minority in Parliament.
In a video circulating on social media, Sam George was approached by someone who asked him to comment on the LGBTQ+ Bill that some Minority Members of Parliament are pushing for.
However, in response, the Minister said, “Go and ask them, are they not the ones demanding it?”
His brief reply has drawn mixed reactions online, with some people expressing surprise at his tone given his long-standing advocacy for the Bill.
