Accra Regional fire Commander and Assistant Chief Fire Office of The Ghana National Fire Service, Rashid Kwame Nisawu, has urged people not to panic as they have managed to contain the fire outbreak at a warehouse near Radio Gold at Laterbiokoshie.
Mr. Nisawu disclosed that about six fire engines have been deployed to the scene to fight the fire.
Speaking to Joy News presenters, Rashid Nisawu has assured that the fire service is confining the fire and will be killed.
He said the fire started at 4:15 that is when they got the first call, and by 4:24, the first fire arrived and began fighting the flames.

“So there shouldn’t be any panic. We want to assure everybody around here that we have managed to contain and confine the fire,” he said
He said they are still not sure what started the fire but investigations would commence once the flames were fully extinguished.
The fire has spread to at least 7 houses. There have fortunately been no casualties however a fire fighter and a civilian have sustained minor injuries.
