Justin Kodua Frimpong leads NPP General Secretary race – Global Info Analytics

The battle for the General Secretary position in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is heating up and incumbent Justin Kodua Frimpong is way out in front.

A new poll released by Global Info Analytics on August 21, 2025, shows Frimpong commanding a strong 44% support among delegates, putting him leagues ahead of his challengers.

Here’s how the rest of the field is shaping up:

  • Henry Kokofu – 6%
  • Eugene Antwi – 4%
  • Sylvester Tetteh – 3%
  • Isaac Asiamah – 3%
  • Dr. Charles Dwamena – 2%
  • Others – 2%

Despite Frimpong’s commanding lead, the race isn’t over yet. A significant 36% of delegates remain undecided, making the outcome far from a done deal.

The survey sampled 2,656 NPP delegates from 263 out of 276 constituencies, with 2,560 completing the full questionnaire. Data collection was conducted via Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) using random probability sampling. The poll boasts a 99% confidence level with a margin of error of ±2.44%.

With internal party elections looming, all eyes will be on how the undecided delegates swing but for now, Frimpong holds a clear upper hand.
