Solomon Owusu a leading member of the Movement for Change has urged Ghanaians to disregard the reports of Chairman Wontumi’s sickness during an interrogation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
According to Solomon Owusu, Chairman Wontumi’s sudden illness during his interrogation was fake because he pull the same stunt when he was summoned to the Manhyia Palace by the Ashanti Traditional Council.
Owusu in an interview on TV3’s New Day show on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, said Bernard Antwi Bosiako can fake sickness a hundred times but he cannot escape accountability.
“The illness from Wontumi is fake because he did the same thing when he was summoned the the Manhyia Palace. He cannot escape accountabilities with these kinds of behavior,” Solomon Owusu said.
Wontumi’s illness during interrogation was confirmed by his lawyer, Andy Appiah Kubi.
“I know where he is, but I am not going to disclose the hospital. All I can say is that my client has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment”.
