President John Dramani Mahama has responded to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s statement asking for the specific government policy that has led to the cedi’s recent performance against the major currency in the world.
Former Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in reacting to the performance of the cedi against the major currencies in the world said the NDC cannot claim the credit because they cannot name a single policy they have implemented to make this happen.
Reacting to this statement, president Mahama said that effective leadership from the NDC is the reason why the cedi is performing strongly against the dollar and other major currencies in the world.
“Somebody says point to one policy that you have implemented to make the cedi appreciated and I said, it’s not about one policy.”
“The answer is effective leadership. With effective leadership, we can turn this economy around and that is what I’m committed to,” president John Dramani Mahama said.
