Solomon Owusu, leading Member of the Movement for Change and a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has jabbed former Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for claiming credit for the rise of the cedi against major currencies in the world.
Dr. Bawumia claiming credit for the cedi’s rise stated that the NDC cannot name a single policy of theirs that has led to the cedi’s strength against the dollar and other major currencies in the world.
Reacting to the statement, Solomon Owusu mocked Dr. Bawumia of only being an economics when the NPP is in opposition.
He stated that Dr. Bawumia abdnaoned economics to become an IT guru while the NPP was in power so he should stay away from economic discussions.
