Deputy Minority Leader Patricia Appiagyei has claimed that e-levy has not been cancelled completely like the government wants Ghanaians to believe.
According to the Member of Parliament for the Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, e-levy still exists in disguise hence need for Ghanaians to be vigilant and not believe everything in the face value.
She made this claim in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM while criticizing president John Dramani Mahama for failing to remove the covid-19 levy despite the numerous promises he made while in opposition.
“The President didn’t do well by not removing the covid-19 levy like he promised. Now he says he cant do it because of IMF conditions but he knew it before making all these promises.”
“Today they say e-levy has been removed but the tax is still there in disguise, check your transactions.”
