Women in the Nyamesomyede community, located in the Adansi Akrofuom district of the Ashanti Region, have expressed their frustration over ongoing power fluctuations and outages, claiming these disruptions are negatively impacting their sexual lives.
According to the women, frequent power cuts caused by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have led to significant disruptions in their daily routines, including intimate relationships.
The lack of consistent power has made it difficult for them to maintain a comfortable living environment, which they say is crucial for their well-being and sexual health.
A representative of the community stated, “The constant power cuts have made our homes uncomfortable, and it’s affecting every aspect of our lives, including our sex lives. We need this issue addressed immediately.”EDNUB shared on X
The women have called on ECG to take urgent steps to resolve the power instability, urging the utility company to ensure a more reliable electricity supply to improve their quality of life. They emphasized that without a steady power supply, their lives will continue to be disrupted, and the consequences could affect their physical and emotional well-being.
