8 persons have unfortunately been confirmed dead following the Ghana Armed Forces helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom.
Those dead include the Minister for Environment Science and Technology Dr Ibrahim Mutala Muhammed, Minister for Defence Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Dr Samuel Sarpong, Former Parliamentary candidate Mr Samuel Aboagye, Squadron leader Peter Bafani Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, confirmed this is an adress to the state following the insident. He has ordered that all flags be flown at half-mast until further notice.
“The president and government extends our condolences and sympathies to the families of our comrades and service men who died in service to our country” he said in his address.
